    Description

    Mechanical Box Kit with all laser cut parts, easy to assemble.
    The Mechanical Box Kit makes a very unique gift.
    The box is fun and rewarding to assemble.  The laser cut parts are ready to stain or paint.
    This Mechanical Box is shipped in KIT form (You assemble it). There are about 60 parts in the kit including gears, shafts, lock nuts all precision laser cut from wood. The 6 sides of the box are cut from quarter inch thick PureBond Premium birch plywood.
    The gears are all cut from solid cherry 1/4 inch thick. The one large gear on the front is cut from 1/4 inch solid oak.
    The box (when assembled) is
    9.25 inches wide, 7.125 inches deep and 7.25 inches tall

    I have designed and tested this box to be as easy to assemble as possible.

    I personally wrote the instructions which are very detailed (with pictures).
    If you have assembled a model car or plane before this kit should be very easy for you. If you have not assembled a kit before, just take your time, contact me if you are having any problems and you will be able to produce a very nice mechanical box!
    This box is guaranteed to get attention wherever you have it displayed. People will ask where you got it, and when you tell them you built it they will be amazed.
    If you follow the instructions and wax the moving parts as instructed the box will open very smoothly. Something that is really amazing for a mechanical network of complex wooden gears!
    This kit is a great way to spend quality time with your child, grandson or granddaughter. And when you are done they will have something they will keep forever.
    The kit will require you to provide your own glue, wax and small amount of sandpaper (I give my recommendations in the instructions) but everything else you need is included in the box.
